Our Staff

Albuquerque, NM

Gustavo and Cecelia MedinaGustavo and Cecelia Medina, are the parents of six children and have invested the majority of their lives ministering to the immigrant community in Albuquerque. Their's is a two pronged focus, helping immigrants to become, in the words of Pope John Paul II, established in "a clear and deep faith" and prepare people to assume leadership roles in their parish communities. This type of ministry requires the investment of a great deal of personal time with individuals and families, and utilizing programs like The School of the Cross which are adapted to the culture of the immigrant community. They are members of Our lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish.

Abe and Liz ChavezAbe and Liz Chavez live in Albuquerque, NM, where they are actively involved in numerous parish ministries at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish. Their emphasis is on evangelization and discipleship, desiring to see God use them to help form other Catholics in their faith journeys. God has provided opportunities for ministry both within their local parish through marriage and family ministries, and in their diocese with the Stewardship Speaker Team where they speak to parish communities on stewardship of time, talents and treasures. Both are originally from New Mexico and have been blessed with five daughters, a son-in-law and new granddaughter.

Ann Arbor, MI

Peter and Theresa ZiolkowskiPeter and Theresa Ziolkowski and their five children are active members of Christ the King parish in Ann Arbor, MI. After graduating from the University of Michigan, Peter pursued a theological education and graduated with a Masters of Theology degree from Sacred Heart Major Seminary. For over sixteen years, and in various venues (collegiate ministry, Catholic radio, parish ministry) Peter and Theresa have helped form individuals and communities in the areas of evangelization and faith formation. More recently he has majored on various aspect of parish renewal designed to help Catholic adults embrace conversion, transformation, and mission. He is the author of Made for Joy a small-group study on conversion and prayer.

Boston, MA

Ken and Judie AndersonKen and Judie Anderson have invested thirty-five years in ministry, twenty-seven of which were invested ministering to French speaking Canadians and helping people become passionate about knowing, loving and becoming like Jesus Christ. In 2002 they moved to Mansfield, Massachusetts to live and to continue forming Catholic disciples. They are serving in various capacities in St. Mary’s parish where they creatively use Catholic resource materials to help others grow in faith and respond to what Pope John Paul II has called, our “supreme duty: to proclaim Christ to all peoples." Ken is also active in the annual men’s conferences in Worcester and Boston. Ken and Judie have four miracle children, all living in Canada, and they are really enjoying the wonderful experience of being grandparents of grandchildren who live in British Columbia.

Frank and Debbie TullyFrank and Debbie Tully reside in Newton, Massachusetts, where they are actively involved with St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, adjacent to Boston College. Frank coordinates a mentoring program at the Center for Urban Ministry Education in inner city Boston and Debbie teaches mathematics and dance at Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, a preparatory high school for girls. Both were born and raised in Greater Boston, although they spent many years in Chicago and as missionaries in Australia. Frank also serves on the leadership team of The Boston Metro Mission and participates in the Boston Catholic Men’s Conference.

Colorado Springs, CO

Rich and Gail ClevelandRich and Gail Cleveland have been involved in ministry for thirty-six years. For many years Rich served as the director of Small Christian Communities at Holy Apostles Parish in Colorado Springs, is the current Director of Holy Apostles Men’s Ministry, and a member of the Diocese’s Metro North Region Pastoral Council. Rich also is director of Emmaus Journey: A Catholic Ministry of Evangelization and Discipleship. Through this ministry, Rich and Gail have published several Scripture-based Catholic small group studies, and he is the author of several bestselling Catholic Bible studies published by The Word Among Us Press. They have three grown children.

Detroit, MI

Gary and Judy BayerGary and Judy Bayer, along with their two young children, live in the inner-city of Detroit, Michigan. Gary and Judy are involved in lay ministry in a multi-ethnic urban neighborhood. Gary has been involved in evangelization programs and adult catechesis within a local bi-lingual (English/Spanish) parish and Judy has taught English as a Second Language to Mexican women. They have helped to address the social and spiritual needs of their urban neighbors and friends by coordinating block parties and neighborhood clean up work-days, hosting Christmas “Posadas” in their home, and participating in special events such as birthdays, baptisms, and weddings. They are members of Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Detroit.

Santa Rosa, CA

Paul and Diane YoungPaul and Diane Young are active members of the Star of the Valley Catholic Church, Santa Rosa, California. Paul has had 35 years experience in church ministry and has earned a Masters Degree in Theology and a Doctorate in Psychological Studies. After 35 years as an evangelical pastor and CEO of an international mission agency, Paul joined the Catholic Church and is known for his enthusiastic teaching of sacred Scripture which grows out of his love for Christ. Paul conducts life-changing seminars across the U.S. and is a popular speaker and teacher. Paul is the Emmaus Journey Men’s Ministry Director. They have five children and thirteen grandchildren.
