Ken and Judie Anderson live Mansfield in the south Boston area and are parishioners at St. Mary Catholic Church. They both are involved serving others in a myriad of ways such as preparing a monthly meal for the shooting club, to teaching students knitting. But their heart is always involved in helping people develop a hopeful relationship with Jesus and grow as a Catholic Christian. Ken and Judie are both active in the annual Men’s Conferences and Women’s Conferences that are held in Boston and in Worcester. They are active in teaching ALPHA classes and in leading small-group bible studies. They also serve on the stewardship committee and sing in the choir. They are multi-talented and love using their gifts to serve people.
They lived for over 25 years in French-speaking Canada and continue to return there several times a year to visit family and friends. Consequently, they speak fluent French and love the people of Quebec Province. They have four “miracle” children who all live in Canada, and several beautiful grandchildren that they love and enjoy.
Current Update
We are endeavoring to help parishes discover ways to reach out in evangelization. As you can imagine it is a scary task to some and out of the focus of others. Pray that God would enable me to motivate and help both parish leadership and individuals pursue this important task which Pope John Paul Ii has said is “our supreme duty to proclaim Christ to all people.”
A Practical Resource We Recommend
A Vision for Ministry: This helpful booklet is a good place to begin changing the way people thing about evangelization and Christian formation. It was recommended and given to the primary bishops in the U.S. as a “good starting place” for beginning men’s ministry.
